From collaborating on the Ice Stupa project to teaching sustainable tourism, Rigzen’s journey in Ladakh is a testament to his love for nature and adventure.

Ladakh has always been a place close to my heart and I had wanted to trek there. Upon researching, I came across Panthera expeditions and I couldn’t have asked for anything better. We did Markha valley trek with them and Mingyur’s knowledge of flora and fauna around was exceptional. He always went out of the way to make sure we had the best time. The service was so good that we extended our stay and travelled to tso moriri, hanle and umling la with them. Though it wasn’t a part of the itinerary, Mingyur went out of his way to help us spot wildlife and we got to see Red fox, black necked crane among others. I travelled extensively with the Panthera Expedition for over a month and it was an incredible experience. We travelled all across from eastern corner to the western corner of Ladakh mainly spotting different kinds of Wildlife. They have an immense knowledge of the entire landscape and well connected with people to make sure your travel is hassle free. There is no compromise in anything and always supportive of your needs and you well being during the travel. Absolutely wonderful trekking experience from Rumtse to Tso Moriri with my brother and sister, from 22 to 27 years old. Yet experienced in trekking and alpinism in Europe, it was our first time in the Himalayans for the three of us. We had precious pieces of advice when planning our expedition beforehand and then great time with Panthera Expedition team over the 10 days we spent in Ladakh.
